Sukran & I met just once, almost a year ago.
A part-time insomniac, I had spent the first hours of daylight walking myself along towpath of Regents Canal. Winding up in my local park.
Sukran was on the bench opposite.
My first companion of the morning.
Steadying herself to the waking world.
Taking my usual single shot, Sukran and I were, from that moment, inextricably bound. Our lives interwoven by the coincidence of light-sensitive film.
By tangled microscopic crystals.
Layer upon layer of mineral... Expanding in all directions like the summer dawn.
Portraits of too-brief encounters in London & Paris.
